Ibn ‘Abbaas was reported to have said:
“The people of Yemen used to come for Hajj without bringing provisions with them. They would say that they were putting their trust in Allaah. Consequently, on their arrival in Makkah, they would beg the people, so Allaah revealed [the verse] ‘Take provision with you.
